Dear Richard:

I do not expect you to remember me amidst your many patients, however, I am the retired attorney from Seattle who presented myself to you after a half dozen back surgeries some four or five years ago. You provided me with treatment which included a root ganglia radio frequency procedure on the left side of my lumbar spine. I was in intense agony and wheelchair bound for many months and unable to walk.

Four weeks after the procedure the pain gradually subsided over a period of 3 to 4 days. Like I said, that was over four years ago and I am still essentially pain free on the left side. However, after a trip in Dec. of 2003 I began to have pain with a radicular component down my right leg so severe that I could not walk, sit, lay down or move much in any direction without excruciating consequences. Following two epidural injections, which helped, you provided me with another root ganglia procedure. This procedure had absolutely no effect until about the fourth week and then within 3 to 4 days my pain vanished completely. I can still reproduce pain but only when I bend, lift, etc. beyond what has become reasonable for me.

Needless to say after 30 years of law practice I have learned how to use the English language to express myself rather well, but when I think about just how grateful I am for your skills and the ability to use this new procedure on me, combined with its amazing results, I am simply at a loss to find the right words to illustrate my delectation. I think this community is fortunate to have this procedure available and performed by someone of your consummate skill and proficiency. You have literally changed the entire nature of my sense of well being and my capacity to function. If you were a boy scout I would be willing to pronounce at least a half dozen at-a-boy's upon your head.

So often visits to Doctors are no more pleasant than a sunny Saturday afternoon piano lesson for a rambunctious twelve year old boy who would rather be tearing through the weeds with his buddies. Despite many vast and pulsating regrets my medical malpractice clients have felt after visiting some doctors who left them with botheration worse than they presented with, you my friends are clearly not one to be included in this dubious class. I have never been treated better and never with such favorable outcomes.

Good on you. Keep up the good work. I will see you again just as soon as my symptoms return; if they ever to!

Sincerely,
T
